There will be wonderful occasions to rest our feet in complete comfort and relaxation with a lifetime of post-card worthy scenery to daydream about. While the thought of traveling from city to city by chartered bus, might seem like "lost time," I'd like to challenge you to think of it as a welcomed blessing for our mind and bodies and how wonderful that we'll get picked up and dropped off at the door of our hotels and skip the time we'd spend at the train station (just like navigating the airport). Each trip will be similar in time and miles as listed below.
Milan to Venice= 176 miles (we may get to stop in Verona at about mile 120 for a short break)
Venice to Florence= 165 miles (this drive will take us right into the heart of vineyard country, total eye candy.)
Florence to Rome= 187 miles (this drive will take us through the other side of Tuscany...more eye candy!)
Rome to Sorrento/Capri= 165 miles, stopping in Pompeii at about mile 125 for the day.
Sorrento/Capri back to Rome= 165 miles
I am looking forward to these bus rides to update my journal, read a bit about the next town we are venturing to, gaze out the window and wonder what life would be like in each town, curl up next to my children and husband and the best part....get to know each of you a little better.
